The 47th UAE National Day weekend proudly brings tons of events to all of the emirates. As a country that has given opportunities to foreigners while continually lifting up its own nationals, it’s only right to celebrate. Here are some of the happenings happening around the United Arab Emirates:

Official Fireworks In Abu Dhabi
Firework proceedings will take place at three locations at 8 PM; the Zayed Heritage Festival, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium and Madinat Zayed, Al Dahfra. At 9 PM there will be fireworks at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. All four events are free to the public.

Al Fursan Air Show
Come watch talented aerialists perform a wide variety of maneuvers at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The event will go on from 4 to 5 PM and features jets from the UAE Air Force.

Al Seef Show
Al Seef, which lies between Karama and Al Rigga, will feature traditional Rafza dancers, Garbiya bands and Ayala music. There will be a traditional market set up and the opportunity for child participation, including the opportunity to learn local dances. The event will be happening from November 30th to December 2nd with live shows from 5 PM to 11 PM.

Emirati Poetry Night
On December 1st and 2nd, Burj Park will host several prominent poets from the United Arab Emirates. Hosted by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, the event will occur from 6 to 7 PM on both days.

City Walk
From November 29th to December 3rd, City Walk will be open will engaging stalls like face painting and traditional Henna art. The late respected founding father of the UAE Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan will be paid tribute to by portrait as well. Residents and visitors alike will be able to add their handprints to an interactive mural in the colors of the UAE.

Ibn Battuta Mall

Ibn Battuta Mall will open its expansive location to families across the UAE for face painting, henna exhibits and local art. All patrons will be welcomed with Arabic dates and coffee from November 29th until December 3rd.

Eagle Hills celebration
Located near Maryam Island Sales Center in Sharjah, Eagles Day will be a continual celebration of the 47th UAE National Day. The highlight of the festivities will occur with a National Day march including light shows and cartoon characters. This event will take place on December 2nd from 4 PM until 8 PM.

Sharjah National Park
Entry will be free from November 30th to December 3rd and the park will feature a variety of performances and programs including a play entitled Zayed the Human and Teacher. Bicycles will be available to journey around the park. For the younger folks, there will also be aerial artists, a puppet’s theatre and face painting.
