Now more than ever, our voices are able to be broadcasted and heard by a worldwide audience. Through various mediums, young people have more freedom than ever to voice their express themselves. This is an opportunity unlike any other; and can be used for very productive means to teach, learn and dissolve barriers of ignorance and misunderstanding. We at Studentsera are proud to be a part of this historical period in media and self-expression. By focusing on students in the UAE and GCC region, our aim is to offer youth an established outlet to express themselves and collaborate with like-minded individuals.
Our initial offering in the world of youth oriented media is the Studentsera Podcast, hosted bi-weekly in Silicon Oasis. The broadcast which was launched in February 2017 features a “rolling host” format of several students all studying higher education in Dubai.
On the show, our diverse cast speaks about events, experiences and struggles that make university life in the UAE so rich. We also feature weekly guests that are geared towards inspiring and informing our audience; young entrepreneurs and professionals in various fields. Youth is surely a time of experimentation and indecisiveness. We hope that by showcasing other individual’s journey through maturity, it will serve as guidance to our listeners.
By broadcasting through the StudentsEra website and application, the students, the learning institutions and the region all benefit. The students will learn important skills like self-expression, the importance of preparation and time management world.
The region, finally, gains a boost to the media and art sectors, and prepares students to succeed in other departments as well.
