As a sign of appreciation for the hard work and dedication to community the Dubai Police have, Red Bull UAE sponsored by Arada hosted the first ever Neymar 5 A Side UAE Qualifier specifically for members of the Dubai Police Force. The qualifier hosted teams from various sectors of the police force. Hosted At Dubai Police Officer’s Club, the day was equally competitive as it was enjoyable for participating teams. Although onlookers were few due to strict social distancing measures, the excitement was apparent as teams of five battled for the chance to win a trip to Brazil, meeting PSG superstar Neymar Jr. This is the 6th consecutive year in which the event was held and the first qualifier of its kind, giving a much due chance for police officers in the country to showcase their skills.

The day proceeded through group stages, knockout stages and a heated final between two seasoned and vibrant teams. One of the highlights of the day was a special appearance by French Red Bull athlete Sean Garnier, a freestyle football champion and winner of the inaugural Red Bull Street Style World Finals in 2008 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He took the time to challenge players from the team in one-on-one faceoffs, which provided much amusement to onlookers.

After intense matches through the evening, two teams battled to a 4-1 match. Thankfully, both two teams qualified for the UAE final, which will take place April 3nd in Al Jada Sharjah.
Red Bull UAE, StudentsEra, and the organizing team were all proud to make this hallmark event commemorating the hard work and patriotism of the Dubai Police force.
