THE CONCEPT

    • The idea of the Short Film competition is to create an online campaign for a period of one month.
    • High School & University Students will be invited to shareshort films on Instagram with the theme “Frame the Future

Theme: “Unseen Summers”

Capture a summer moment, feeling, or perspective that rarely makes it to the screen.
Think: hidden rituals, fleeting connections, climate reflections, or the summer that wasn’t what everyone expected.

  • Narrative (fiction)

  • Documentary (under 5 min)

  • Experimental / Animation

  • 60‑second vertical (for social media)

winners will be chosen by a panel of judges.

  • The focus of the event will be to find talented students across the country.

Who can apply?

  • The event is open to filmmakers aged 16-22,
  • Participants must be currently enrolled in a high school and a university program to be eligible to apply.
  • We welcome students from all backgrounds and areas of study to submit their short films for consideration.

What can they apply

  • Participants can submit short films that capture a day in the life of a student or university community.
  • Short films must be between 1-10 minutes in length to be eligible for consideration
  • Participants can submit either a production they are currently working on or a completed film that was made within the last 2years.
  • We welcome films of all genres, styles, and themes as long as they meet the “day in the life” criteria.

How to apply?

  • Step 1 : Students fill out the application form below.
  • Step 2 : Students submit their work via Email
  • Step 3 : Students Wait for confirmation of acceptance and instructions on how to participate in the event
